This was my first attempt to play with the concepts for this project. I decided to start with something a little more simple just to get a feel for the process and allow me to iterate other ideas to accomplish the criteria for this assignment. This one was created with a pair of perpendicular rectangles, extruded and twisted.

For this second piece, I put more focus into playing with some form manipulation of the legs to this piece. I wanted to create some uneven wave forming and then played with a twist on the legs to ensure the wave forms could be printed properly without hanging to low.

This piece was my favorite one to build. I used a 12 sided offset base with a little circle added to the tips. Did the full height extrude, 189 degree twist and then a couple stage taper to get the hour glass design. This model helped inspire a bunch of new ideas for lighting products I could create that I'm excited to find some time to dig into ideas.

This model was done as a conceptual challenge for myself to fill the full print bed area and adapt the design to be able to accommodate the 3D printer limitations. While I will often learn the correct way that instructors will teach how to do something, I will often play outside the box with unique, potentially incompatible designs, just so I can get a better idea of what software's can and can't do and where there might be limitations that stopped others that I may find a way around and thus explore more of my learning style.

For this design, I wanted to play with some simpler concepts and focus on keeping a more narrow design. The idea was a to create something that could blend well with my designs or someone else's.

This piece is a continuation on the exploration in the previous sample and creating a design that plays well with others. These last 2 designs do in fact nest into each other if it's desired.
