WayFinding Landmark Installation

Way-Finding Landmark Installation

Upon starting University, I got to juggle the creation and installation of the Way-Finding Landmarks installation. This installation was presented at both, Night Light and IgNIGHT festivals in Calgary and Ft McMurray respectively. The goal with this was to create a public art piece that could be used in various formats to accommodate the specific needs of each event. Through this first stage of the build we proved the physical concept and are now going to dig more into the details of programming, control and interactivity of this piece.

We have already received a CADA grant to build 7 more of these units and continue to expand on the idea of using these to creatively build a bridge between Neurotypical and Neurodivergent experiences by finding unique ways of express Neurodiverse experiences through the interactions of light.
